• ​Scrap seller must be at least 18 years of age and present their United States of America issued government issued photo ID that includes their U.S. address, date of birth, height and weight.​

  • AMR cannot accept any Passports, even if issued in the U.S. as they are not compatible with our computer program.​

• Scrapping a vehicle?  Please run through this simple check list:

  • In accordance with Oklahoma State law any vehicle being sold, even to recycling, must be accompanied by the TITLE.  AMR will not accept a "Bill of Sale" or any other paperwork as a replacement to the original title.

  • Gas tank must be punctured with all of the fuel drained.

  • Battery must be removed from vehicle.

• Catalytic converters?

  • Must be accompanied by proof of ownership from the vehicle they were removed  in your name

    • Accepted "proof of ownership":

      • Title registered in your name​

      • Current vehicle registration in your name

      • Receipt showing purchase of replacement converter

    • AMR cannot quote converters over the phone as there are too many variables, please bring them in so we can provide you an accurate price for your converter.

• Air conditioning coils?

  • All copper/aluminum coils, no matter the size that has been removed from any air conditioning unit (including window and roof units), chillers, reefer units etc. must be accompanied by a:

    • HVAC or other state licensed contractor or service provider within fields relevant with you becoming in possession of the state regulated item and a copy of your license will be made for our records  

    • ​Receipt showing that the unit was replaced

    • A letter from a licensed HVAC contractor stating the unit was no longer operable.

    • All refrigerant including but not limited to chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's), and chlorofluorocarbons (HCFC's), be removed in accordance with the Clean Air Act prior to being sold to Al's Metals Recycling.

• We DO NOT accept the following:​

• RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL(Including NORM)

• ANY COPPER WIRE LARGER THAN 4 GAUGE UNLESS PROPER IDENTIFICATION IS PROVIDED

• BATTERIES UNLESS REMOVED FROM VEHICLE

• MANHOLE COVERS, TRAFFIC AND STREET SIGNS

• ELECTRIC LIGHT POLES INCLUDING THEIR FIXTURES AND HARDWARE

• HIGHWAY GUARD RAILS OR METAL BLEACHERS/STANDS

• FUNERAL OR HISTORICAL MARKERS

• RAILROAD SCRAP

• ANY METAL MARKED WITH GOVERNMENT LOGO

• BURNT COPPER WIRE

• METAL KEGS

• STOLEN METALS

• PROPANE BOTTLES OR OTHER CLOSED OR PRESSURIZED BOTTLES
• REFRIGERATORS/FREEZERS *UNLESS YOU CAN PROVIDE PROOF YOU OWN AND ARE LICENSE TO USE A REFRIGERATOR RECOVERY MACHINE
